Nice blog. Keep it up ...
Sorry for posting an off topic question here but I think this particular one has a profound impact on our society.
The Pope says “Harry Potter corrupts the young, distorting their understanding of the battle between good and evil”. In a way, he is saying “Harry is Evil, Potter is Satan!”
Well, we know orthodox Christians also despise Uncle Santa Claus and all those at DisneyWorld, do you fancy a world without Cinderella, Snow White and Mr. Mickey Mouse?
this is what i have to say:
i happen to enjoy harry potter, (especially the 3rd movie) and don't so much care what the pope says about it. especially as i have no children of my own to be influenced by it, adversely or otherwise.
i was terrified of santa claus when i was little, but i'm sure saint nick was a great guy (though i can't say for sure, never having met him personally).
as for disney, i am all about some old-school disney. but disney is responsible for the desecration-by-disneyfication of winnie the pooh. and that i cannot forgive. original is best! a.a. milne and e.h. shepard rock!
now, to be quite honest, your question seems a bit disjointed to me. what exactly does the pope's reaction to the harry potter series have to do with orthodox christians' reaction to santa claus and disney? or were you just trying to get me riled up? oi. i'm so confused. well, we all know that's nothing entirely new, right kids?
well...that's it for now. i've gotta get packing. cos i'm moving one of these days. yes, i am.
(:

"Old School Pooh Commandos -- Rock, Rock On!"
Have you checked out La Bona's blog?
... woofta....
slightly. the kind of muck i do my very best to not get into. i hate politics. (social politics, in this case, it would seem.)
with a little dose of delusions of grandeur thrown in, unless she's being artfully sarcastic.
yeeeeaaaaaaahhhhh.
what are you doing up so late, dahling?
