so, finally - the interview i was supposed to have almost a week ago. one of the ladies emailed me the web address of their e-application, but i had some trouble with their website. a couple times it was down. then i was able to get into the application, but not very far because of a problem we finally identified as browser-related. so last night i got it up on explorer. and it worked. and i got all the way through to the end, where it asked me to attach my resume. and i realised i didn't have my resume saved in the proper format (which i couldn't fix, because my computer doesn't have ms word on it). so i emailed my resume to arielle, who had her laptop at home, and we fixed it, and she emailed it back to me. i never received that email. so finally at almost 12:30, before i went to bed, i hit the submit button on the application, without having attached anything. and it went to a blank screen...
let me just say that i love these pants. they look great, and they are so comfortable! anyway. drove there in the rain. mutemath is great to listen to on the way to these things. it's calming. and very good. and everyone should come see them at the cradle on monday night. so i got there, all on time and everything. and the first thing they had me do was that online application again. they seemed familiar with people having trouble with their website. so i went all the way through it again, pretty fast since i'd just done it the night before. and i hit "submit" and it went to the finish screen. and then they had papers for me to fill out and sign. so i went through those. and then the girl who was helping me (about my age, very cute, liked her style) went into her computer to pull up my application, but it hadn't gone through. so she ended up typing everything in herself. oh well. a quick agree/disagree kind of personality test, and a ms word test, and i was done. not bad. pretty laid-back place. i felt fairly comfortable the whole time. so in all, a good experience.
and now it is time to knock another day off my week-and-a-half left at good ol' espressoasis. fun stuff. happy wednesday! (and if it's not, just remember - you've made it halfway to the weekend; you can make it the rest of the way...)
