that's a happy me. or maybe it's a happy charlie. well, i guess it's both, really, cos charlie's back on the road and i can be certain she'll start in the morning. if you didn't know - yeah, i was having trouble getting her started. got a new battery a week ago, which i'm sure was absolutely necessary, but then she wouldn't start yesterday morning. which was a problem, as i was about to leave for work. thankfully, my boss decided to be crazy and drive to durham from raleigh to pick me up. they like me that much. then, since my daddy works in raleigh too (about fifteen minutes from my warehouse) he picked me up, gave me a ride to his & mum's house for dinner, and then came back to my apartment to have a look at 'er. he figured out pretty quickly that it had to be the ignition switch. she started up on a fluke (or maybe the not starting was more of a fluke - who knows) so we decided to bring her over to the shop where i last got her fixed, leave her there overnight, and call and have them look at her in the morning. and they did. and it was the ignition switch. and it didn't cost a million dollars or take a week to fix. so she's ready to go back to work tomorrow.

in other news, we're moving on saturday (yay!!!), so if anyone out there wants to show up at our current apartment ridiculously early in the morning (between 7:00 and 7:30, i'd say) we'd welcome the help. and there will be free food, as always. then, i think we'll be cleaning on monday night (though don't take my word for it), so if that's more your cup of tea, we'd love help with that as well...

but for now (holy crap - someone's being loud over there) it's time for me to call it a night. pleasant dreams, my dear friends. may you sleep in peace.
