what can wash away our sins?
what can make us whole again?
nothing but the blood
nothing but the blood of Jesus
what can make us pure as snow -
welcomed as the friends of God?
nothing but Your blood
nothing but Your blood, king Jesus...
thank God, it hit me again today. and really, i think it hit me in sort of a new way. power for the powerless. i've been feeling lately (like for the past year...) a lot like i just can't do the whole "sold-out christian" thing. some of you (not that you are many) may misunderstand me here... but that's okay. i have been feeling really incapable. but i remembered today that i really don't have to be capable. yes, i have to do my part somewhere along the way, but it's all a process, and no matter what stage of the process i happen to be in, i am accepted. so thanks for that song, whoever chose it. it meant a lot to me. i don't have to feel ashamed of myself in any way - i really am washed clean, made whole and pure, welcomed...

"...power is made perfect in weakness." It truly is a strange and beautiful thing. To think, we have a God and a Father who created a world where we aren't able to do anything and that's alright. That's the way it's meant to be. Our weakness is what gives us the ability to bring Him glory and the capacity to receive all the innumerable blessings He wants to shower down on us every moment of our lives. Life seems so much brighter when you realize all you have to do is choose at whose feet you're going to bow.
For the King,
Ben
p.s. Happy people make me happy. Stay happy. That goes for you too Jo. Don't make me come over there.
